My
name is Patrick Bowen, and I am a freelance graphic designer
based in Whitehall, Michigan.
I am a recent graduate of Whitehall High School, and I plan
on staying in this area for a year or two of postsecondary
work at Muskegon Community College.
While most of my friends
got normal summer jobs after graduation, I took a chance and
started my own business . . . pkbowen Design & Technology,
LLC. It has become my goal
to offer my services at a reasonable price to local individuals
and businesses, which are often
reluctant—or unable—to pay a large sum for a high
quality website. I know several owners of area businesses,
and I know that the rates of professional designers can be
intimidating.
If I may say so, I am a
very skilled designer. Even though I don’t have a very
populated portfolio, I have the skills necessary to make an
exceptional website (often better than adult designers). I
look forward to working with you in the future.
Second Question: Are you
effective?
Yes.
A website is the only marketing tool that is available to
the whole world. We make sure the whole world will
want to look at it, and that anyone looking for
it can find it.
Third Question: Do you charge
an arm and a leg?
No
way.We build our websites
from scratch (just like this one), and we charge about half
as much as other American design firms. Who are they kidding,
charging $1300 for a website? I do the same work for $400-$700.
How can we do that? Low
overhead. C'mon, I'm a high school grad who's still
living with mom and dad before heading off to college. That
means no office lease, low software cost (academic discount),
free internet, etc. You do the math.
